Corax and law firm Clyde & Co collaborated to produce a joint white paper, Cyber Breach Insights: Key Drivers Beyond Cyber Insurance Claims. The research – which is based on randomly selected and anonymized data from 321 breach events reported to insurers in the U.S. between 2014 and 2015 – tracks each invoiced cost amount associated with a covered breach event.

I designed the layout of the report as well as all of the graphics and data visualizations within it. My main task was to incorporate elements of both company’s branding to make the visual language reflect the collaboration of both parties. I chose Clyde&Co’s deep blue brand swatch, with pops of Corax’s signature bright palette. I incorporated a cartoon-style iconography set as the basis for the graphics, which was a great differentiator in the world of finance and cyber risk, where white papers of this nature are often very visually dry and basic.

This report was distributed at a large cyber insurance conference in Texas, and ended up creating a lot of buzz for Corax due no doubt in part to the fun and memorable style of the graphics.
